During one of the slowest moving news weeks of the summer, there's nothing better than finding out that Western New Yorkers will be getting some summer hockey on TV.
The MSG network has announced that they'll be replaying six of the best Sabres games from the 2011-12 season each Saturday night at 8pm from July 28 - September 1. The games will air under a a condensed format (hopefully eliminating the between-periods chatter) and will only last two hours, thus making them the perfect kickstarter to your Saturday evening festivities.
As our own Zach Zielonka pointed out on Twitter, five of the six games airing were played after March 10, and were part of the Sabres' "heroic charge" to ninth place. While it will be fun to watch the Sabres again, and watch them win in exciting fashion, the list will also contain some heartbreaking "what if" moments that might be tough to watch for those of you that were convinced the team would be in the postseason.
After the break, check out exactly what games will be airing, and tell us which one you're most looking forward to. Or, let us know if you think MSG missed out on a game that should be on the list but didn't make the cut.
