After the 30 hockey sites of SB Nation finished our mock draft of the first round, we decided that it made sense to continue and mock the second round while we were at it. Here is the mock that was completed at the time of writing:

Follow the jump for our justifications on who we picked.

Our second round features two players that have ties to former NHL players. We also selected two forwards in the second round as our thought was that the team wanted to continue to build up the forward prospects compared to drafting defensemen. If Oscar Dansk was on the board by the time the team picked at 42, we probably would have selected him because of the lack of goaltending depth on the roster as well.

Tim Bozon - LW - Kamloops (WHL) - 6'1" - 183 lbs

Son of the former St. Louis forward Philippe Bozon, Tim has played one season with the WHL's Kamloops Blazers. In 71 games, Bozon had 36 goals and 71 points. Here is what Kris Baker at Sabres Prospects had to say about him:

A compelling package of speed and finishing ability, Bozon bundled his creative skills to bag 36 goals and 71 points in his first season of North American hockey while on Kamloops' top line with undrafted Colin Smith and J.C. Lipon. He's shifty and agile in transition, and it's the same feet that contribute to his competent own-zone play whether it's hustling to loose pucks or clogging a lane on the backcheck.

Lukas Sutter - C - Saskatoon (WHL) - 6'1" - 207 lbs.

Another Sutter in the long line from the Sutter family, In his second season with the Blades, Sutter had 59 points in 70 games and finished third on the team in scoring. Again, here is Sabres Prospects' thoughts on Sutter:

An energy player with plenty of sandpaper, Sutter is a realistic target to increase team toughness and competently anchor your lower lines. His improved skating really moved him up a few rungs, and being a late '93 birth date, the disturber can enter the AHL after one more year of junior.
