If Montreal Rebuilds

Hey everyone,

While we can all agree it has been one hell of a ride the past few weeks, we can also agree that this team still needs work during the offseason.

The major spending from last year left us nearly capped out and the UFA market is not nearly as rich as last year (after Parise..pretty much nothing). So the real moves this offseason will have to come from the trade market.

One partner that could arise is the Canadiens. Yes, I am aware that they are a division "rival"..but they are also cleaning house completely and would be willing to take the best deal from anyone if they felt it helped their rebuild efforts.

I feel the main target on that roster that could help the Sabres in more than one way is PK Subban. The kid has a reputation for being a bit of a chirper on the ice, but has grown uop quite a bit from the beginning of his rookie season last year. He can skate, move the puck, has a great shot and has proven to be durable. As we learned this year, you can never have too many NHL quality defensemen on your roster. The price would be high for this player, but the return is well worth it.

So, my question to you Sabre fans, would you be willing to give our pair of 1st round picks and possibly a young prospects (Luke Adam or Brayden McNabb) to get him in a Blue and Gold sweater? My opinion is yes.
