We change the format of the links for the first time in a year or so and the Sabres beat Boston 6-0? I guess we'll keep changing things up then, and taking all the credit.

Funny Lindy is unnerving, and a rare sight too.

Excellent piece on Ken Holland’s drafting strategies.. some good research work done there.

And yes, none of this 3rd jersey BS again.. that new one looks like something designed for 16yr old emo teenagers. Absolute hot garbage.

If they do need a new 3rd jersey

(to retire the anniversary one, eventually)

They should totally go with a gold-colored jersey with blue stripes and the B-Sword logo (see my avatar)

I like the idea of a gold jersey. But I’m afraid that no matter what the Sabres do about it, there will be people out there saying it’s just a money grab by the organization and they one they have is fine.

90's 3rd

If they switch, go back to the red 3rd from the late 90’s (goat head era, but no goat head). That is still my favorate jersey other than the original.

Maybe Nash can play center. Just because that gamble didn’t work with Leino, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have every winger at least try…

I highly doubt Pegula is stupid enough to try and force black back into the color palette.

That and he seems to be very big on tradition.

And should the league be keeping more stats? Without question yes. If they were smart they would reach out to FanGraphs and partner up with them or higher some MIT grads to work on better/new/smarter ways of quantifying the game.

An entire industry has sprung up around baseball statistics, but stats can occasionally take some of the fun out of any game by reducing it to a dry abstraction.

Wait, so knowing that PlayerX looks great but sucks is a bad thing?
