Do you like this story?
Comments
Gaustad
What pisses me off about the Puck Daddy article is that they make it seem like Gaustad just decided to make comments about a broken neck. However, Montreal was taunting him about not coming to a teammates’ defense. You have to get to the end of the article for Gaustad to explain that he was reacting to their taunts. Also, if Gaustad isn’t playing mean, he’s borderline useless, so I’ll take what I can get at this point.

One of my favorite parts of the Goose/Max spat was Carey Price...
Price saying that Gaustad is basically worthless and a non-factor for us, which on most night this season has been true. But how do you say that after he scored the game winner and assisted on the other two goals?
"@Katebits: At this rate Sarah Maclachlan is going to start making sad commercials about the Sabres soon."
ENNIS
Did he play C coming up? I thought so but unsure.
That Puck Daddy on Goose “story” is so not a story it’s ridiculous. I can’t believe I even just brought it up.

I thought he went the Tim Kennedy route where he played left-wing in juniors then they tried to convert him into a center in the AHL. Like Kennedy, he had success in the AHL as a center but it did not work in the NHL. He looked great last night, though.

From the article linked above.
Ennis said he played center during his first two seasons of junior hockey and had a 50-50 split between center and left wing during his final two seasons. The Sabres used him at center at minor-league Portland in 2009-10, but he’s been almost exclusively at left wing in the NHL.
“I played center in the minors. I played it in juniors, a little bit up here every now and then, so I’m excited to just switch it up a bit.”

"If we needed any more motivation to win a Cup sooner than later, we've got one now," Black said. "I really want to listen to the game that RJ calls when he finally gets to shout out, 'Buffalo wins the Stanley Cup.'"

Good game
Nice to see some confidence coming back.. looked like the beginning of the season again. Also nice to see the D chip it high and out whenever they needed to stop the pressure. There was a calmness to the determination last night. They were smart for the most part, they outshot the Habs by a 2 to 1 margin.. you will win more often than not when these things happen.
Looking forward to tonight.
Re: the Goose story – one of the commenters said it best: “.. it’s hockey and of course it’s psychological.. of course players chirp at each other, but it shouldn’t be reported in the media the next day what the chirping was..”
The Habs players shouldn’t bring it up to the media. Once that happens of course they’re going to report on it.

Hey, don't hassle The Hoff
The Sabres have been playing a lot better since he and Myers came back. Night and day.
“Where’s the Bruin that kicked your ass?” “Oh yeah, well where’s the Bruin that kicked your ass?”

It’s the worst chirp ever “Hey, you turtled while your goalie got mauled by one of our mutual rivals because you were too much of a puss to get your jaw broken by Lucic” “Oh yeah, well you stood there while one of your best wingers got his neck broken by that other tough guy from the very same rival team.” I don’t know who’s head the Bruins are in more, but it grosses me out.
The B’s must be getting a kick out of this.

It was the perfect response.
The Canadiens are the last team that should be calling out a Sabre for his response to that incident.
