Weber becomes the seventh player to sign with an overseas team.

On Friday, John Vogl of the Sabres Edge blog reported that Sabres defenseman Mike Weber has signed with Lorenskog of Norway's elite league.

Weber is following in the footsteps of Tyler Myers, Christian Ehrhoff, Andrej Sekera, Tyler Ennis, Jhonas Enroth, and Alex Sulzer as the seventh member of the Sabres roster to sign overseas. Unfortunately, he won't be able to celebrate Thanksgiving with his family, as the report mentions that he's expected to play his first game this Thursday.

While this is not an entirely unexpected development, a concerning quote from the translated report is as follows:

"He wanted to wait to sign awhile, but now it looks like the lockout is prolonged," Lorenskog sports director Atle Olsen told Rome Blad, according to the translation.

Although CBA talks are expected to resume today, this quote doesn't bode well, if it is to be believed.
