Been waiting all week to watch Sabres Hockey. Ennis is back. Team is getting healthy. Let’s turn this around or plow it into the scorched earth.

who's >? ennis or gerbe?
or for what we need, which player would you rather keep if you were going to lose one of them?
"I get inspired by the blunts too."
Rather keep Ennis.
Gerbe is a player that every team needs.
Plus Ill take the selfish route that I loved him in college and have his jersey.
"@Katebits: At this rate Sarah Maclachlan is going to start making sad commercials about the Sabres soon."
Only players on the Sabres I wouldn’t move would be Myers and Vanek. Everyone else is available for the right offer. Between Ennis and Gerbe? I think Ennis has more potential. I don’t ever see Gerbe being a consistent scorer in the NHL and I don’t think the Feisty Badger persona is enough for me to keep him.

I kinda like kassian...
I don’t want to get rid of all of our prospects. I’d be willing to trade most everyone, but not for a bag of hockey pucks. would have to be a very nice price for a couple of them, even of they haven’t been around long enough to prove much.

Kassian isn’t with the Sabres currently. He’s a Rochester American.

The only way I see them trading Adam is if it got the Sabres a top line Center, and he would be a piece of a package.

That’s they only way if they’re making smart, effective trades. I don’t have so much faith in the front office anymore, a little, but not that much. I could see them trading luke adam for any old reason, though I really hope they wouldn’t unless we could really benefit from it. Just because he’s chained to the radiator in Lindy’s basement doesn’t mean he’s worth dumping. Far from the first move I would make, unless I could get a great deal for him. Really, I don’t want to get rid of our current best chance at center, the position were the weakest at
"I get inspired by the blunts too."
What makes you think this: "I could see them trading luke adam for any old reason"?
And just because Ruff is giving him some rough love, doesn’t mean he doesn’t like Adam or will never utilize him in a more important role.

my best estimation is they won’t, but I really don’t know what they’re thinking. Sometimes I can understand where other people are coming from, I like to think that most of the time with most of the people I come across in my own society/culture, and even a fair amount from other societies I can get a good read on their motivations and figure fairly well what they’re apt to do in under many circumstances. With the sabres management, I’m really not good at guessing what they will do. It’s not just that I disagree with what they do or think I could do better, I just don’t know what their guiding philosophy is, and as such I really don’t know the reasoning behind much of what they do. So I really don’t know what they think luke adam is worth, what they think his place on the team is, what he’s capable of, etc. So to me it feels like when it comes to making a move, they could do anything, though I expect them to do nothing
"I get inspired by the blunts too."
Anyone notice the Blackhawks acquired Brendan Morrison
and practically only gave up an AHL defenseman.
I’m not saying that Morrison would have been the cure to the Sabres ills but if the Sabres had some cap space it wouldn’t be terribly difficult to add some center depth.
"If we needed any more motivation to win a Cup sooner than later, we've got one now," Black said. "I really want to listen to the game that RJ calls when he finally gets to shout out, 'Buffalo wins the Stanley Cup.'"
"Do it or Die Trying."
It wouldnt be that hard to make some room would it? I’m sure there’s some teams that would take a couple of our players off our hands for picks or players with lesser contracts.
"I get inspired by the blunts too."
Including LTIR
We have about $3.2 million in space…so we could acquire center depth in the $1-2 million range. LTIR only gives us relief though…so I think by the end of the year, we would have to adjust our roster so that we fit below the $64.3 million cap.

never know when a stop gap or a player like Morrison would have help when the Sabres were starting to sputter. I’m not saying it’s the move the Sabres need to make right now, but just something to think about.

Who would you move out for a player like that? We have a lot of wingers, and he has a $4.1 mil cap hit. I imagine we would have to send money for money, which would be a difficult deal to do.
"We’re gonna win the Stanley Cup. Then, you know what, we’re gonna win it again,"

No Idea. If Dallas were to deal Morrow, they would probably want a youthful package of players. Sabres haven’t had the cap space to do any deal that doesn’t even out the money.

well, some guys on our roster just suck. im not saying lindy is responsible for everything wrong on this team. but i think he brings the worst out of a lot of his players, or at least he can’t get great performances from many players who are capable of playing great. I dunno why, but for everyone to be underachieving I think the coach has to bear at least a little bit of responsibility, though yeah, some of the players just suck
