With All-Star Weekend upon us, it's all Jason Pominville, all the time in terms of Buffalo Sabres sports stories. Oh, and we can all watch Luke Adam (self-admittedly) embarrass himself in the hardest shot competition tonight.

I love hockey, but hate the all-star game. I feel like an ostrich this week, I’ve basically avoided the NHL network and NHL Home Ice. Is it Tuesday yet?

Agreed, but remember:
Pominville gets his reward/fun, Adam will hopefully learn some new tricks or something, and, most importantly, the rest of the team gets a chance to rest/heal and regroup before making a serious effort to turn things around.
Who knew he could rip it like that with all the bench warming he’s been doing.

Set him up on the half boards on the PP.

2012 Amazin' Avenue Offseason Plan: 2nd place
One of the fairer criticisms of Ruff in my opinion is that he doesn’t know how to use certain players as well as he does others.
I do give him some benefit of the doubt because he might be in the process of molding them into more complete players.
Like Adam for instance, might be seeing less ice time because Lindy wants to stress how important two-way play is and wants him to concentrate on his defensive game. That could also be one of the reasons he moved him off the Vanek/Pomers line – he was getting too caught up in offense-offense-offense and was neglecting stuff Ruf wanted him to develop.
