Still have an hour until game time..

Anyone check out the interview with Ted Black on the Howard Simon show this morning?

http://audio.wgr550.com/a/51036965/1-19-ted-black-on-the-howard-simon-show.htm?pageid=401026

"If we needed any more motivation to win a Cup sooner than later, we've got one now," Black said. "I really want to listen to the game that RJ calls when he finally gets to shout out, 'Buffalo wins the Stanley Cup.'"

After listening to that there is definitely change coming. They took the NBC debacle pretty personal.

There’s definitely a different tone to his words. Hopefully something positive will come out of this. I really like Ted Black, he is a welcomed change compared to Larry Quinn.

I've got to check this out when not on iPad

I’ve been saying for awhile that Pegula didn’t drop big coin on the team just to watch it melt down. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a big change of some sort.

Heck yeah.

His voice is different, thats for sure. Theyre embarrassed

I hate that I love Buffalo.

by bflo on Jan 19, 2012 8:19 PM EST up reply actions

I am not decided on him yet. His being more emotional doesn’t mean he’s better. I was not too fond of the hiring because I don’t think he needed to be great to guide a team as talented as Pittsburgh. And, quite frankly, the results here have not been promising.

Well, I am now in a relationship, maybe that means the Sabres can finally break up with their slump.

I have back up plans if the Sabres suck tonight. A Documentary on CNBC at 9pm and Archer on FX at 10pm.

"If we needed any more motivation to win a Cup sooner than later, we've got one now," Black said. "I really want to listen to the game that RJ calls when he finally gets to shout out, 'Buffalo wins the Stanley Cup.'"

Best Buy: The Big Box Fights Back

Not really a documentary, per se.

I want to watch it though, I guess its because of my morbid curiosity to see how CNBC spins the difficult time my company has been having with the media, wall street, competition, and a difficult economy.

"If we needed any more motivation to win a Cup sooner than later, we've got one now," Black said. "I really want to listen to the game that RJ calls when he finally gets to shout out, 'Buffalo wins the Stanley Cup.'"

Just buy the seasons when they come out, I’m rarely home or forget to watch the TV shows I like when they are actually on, and I don’t want to pay for a DVR, I just wait for them to come on Blu-Ray.

Tonight goaltending is not the problem. It never is THE problem, but it definitely has been a problem, especially lately and especially when the success of the Sabres under Ruff have depending on GREAT (no average, not good, not even very good) goaltending.

That having been said, if this team is going to make a run, it is going to be because Miller steals some games and let’s the rest of the team get some confidence back. Let’s hope he has it in him this year.

Damn, is it just me or did it used to be that we were the kind of team that could make the clutch plays when things were getting desperate? I could be mistaken, but I have vague memories of sabres teams that knew how to bury the puck and win when everything was down to the wire. I can still sort of remember what it felt like to have a team that no matter what the score was, you still always felt like they could find a way to pull off a win. I miss that. =(

we had so many solid lines

like drury vs briere lines were interchangeable as the number one, and the third with vanek, roy, and afin was a good line, cuz they went up against weaker players. even our 4th line wasnt that bad. we had multiple threats to contend with. hard to go from that to having like, one line to rely on for all of our scoring
