After listening to that there is definitely change coming. They took the NBC debacle pretty personal.

There’s definitely a different tone to his words. Hopefully something positive will come out of this. I really like Ted Black, he is a welcomed change compared to Larry Quinn.

I've got to check this out when not on iPad
I’ve been saying for awhile that Pegula didn’t drop big coin on the team just to watch it melt down. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a big change of some sort.
Me and Sophia on and locked
Ready for yet more punishment.
I have back up plans if the Sabres suck tonight. A Documentary on CNBC at 9pm and Archer on FX at 10pm.

Not really a documentary, per se.
I want to watch it though, I guess its because of my morbid curiosity to see how CNBC spins the difficult time my company has been having with the media, wall street, competition, and a difficult economy.

Archer is one of the few things that makes me miss cable.
Enjoys long walks on the beach, Molson Canadian, and making the playoffs.
Just buy the seasons when they come out, I’m rarely home or forget to watch the TV shows I like when they are actually on, and I don’t want to pay for a DVR, I just wait for them to come on Blu-Ray.

Tonight goaltending is not the problem. It never is THE problem, but it definitely has been a problem, especially lately and especially when the success of the Sabres under Ruff have depending on GREAT (no average, not good, not even very good) goaltending.
That having been said, if this team is going to make a run, it is going to be because Miller steals some games and let’s the rest of the team get some confidence back. Let’s hope he has it in him this year.

Ah Hekht!
Maybe Lindy reconsiders his man crush on Hecht after back to back bonehead plays?
I hope his little sit-fest wasn’t the best the Sabres can do, b/c that was pretty lame crashing of the goalie.
He’s third on the team in goals per game. THIRD.
OPERATION TANK IS A GO. It’s the only explanation for Mike Weber. He’s on a secret mission.
He seems to be one of the few guys (of the games I’m watching lately) who is skating hard and seems to be in the right place.

Ruff's thing about Hecht is he's dependable
Can’t argue there, but he’s also unspectacular. That he’s third on the team is an indictment of the team.
At this point I’ll take it. The best the Sabres seem to have right now are several undependable unspectacular players.

I think it was a smart play. It wasn’t a “crush the goalie” cheap shot, but it sent a small message to the Jets bench.

I want to see 1-for-1 shots
Every time Miller is touched, the opposing goalie gets blown up. I’m not a fan of goon hockey, but there has to be a little respect earned or fear instilled.
I’m not sure I’d say Miller was “blown up”.

I said "touched"
Opposing goalie gets blown up. Too many liberties are being taken.
Can’t agree with you on Kaleta. His body isn’t falling apart. Rather he plays an aggressive style. I’ll agree it isn’t a style that leads to a long career, but his injuries have obvious causes, like that shot.

Something i just realized while i was watching some old games
I miss Robyn Regehr. When he was paired with Weber, Mike Weber wasn’t terrible somehow.

They have had a lot of injuries, but it just looks like bad hockey right now.
I honestly think Leino is going to break out.

five years now of pretty much being irrelevant. what a joke, at least we have a good owner now. I still have faith that we will get better, that good things are on the horizon, and that terry pegula will lead us into the promised land. it will take time, lots of time maybe, but it will happen. Just not any time in the near future…

It used to only be 29, but thankfully the Fn Center started this year too…
I fight with psychological warfare, I made her a Sabres fan…
It seems like Myers has played the whole 3rd period.
And he is still pushing deep in the offensive zone.
Damn, is it just me or did it used to be that we were the kind of team that could make the clutch plays when things were getting desperate? I could be mistaken, but I have vague memories of sabres teams that knew how to bury the puck and win when everything was down to the wire. I can still sort of remember what it felt like to have a team that no matter what the score was, you still always felt like they could find a way to pull off a win. I miss that. =(

The first year of the slug.
It seemed every time we were losing by 2 with about 5 mins left, Id say… “alright get one with at least 1:45 left, we’ll have a shot.”
Now… if we’re losing in the 2nd it seems like an insermountable deficit.
I hate that I love Buffalo.
Yep.
I always had confidence that Drury and Briere would pull out something spectacular. Now…? No.

Everyone chipped in, but one of those two were always involved. From winning a face-off to digging one out in the corner and getting it to the open man.
I fight with psychological warfare, I made her a Sabres fan…
we had so many solid lines
like drury vs briere lines were interchangeable as the number one, and the third with vanek, roy, and afin was a good line, cuz they went up against weaker players. even our 4th line wasnt that bad. we had multiple threats to contend with. hard to go from that to having like, one line to rely on for all of our scoring
"I get inspired by the blunts too."
thats what I’m saying. I never felt like we were out of it. of course we lost plenty of the time, but you never felt like you might as well turn the tv off after/ the 2nd. don’t get me wrong I’ll always love the sabs, im no trying to rag on them unduely. we should jsut have such a better team, and we will be a better team. soon, but not yet
"I get inspired by the blunts too."
If we’re leading by less than 3 going into the 3rd is seems like we cant win.
I fight with psychological warfare, I made her a Sabres fan…
Honestly, yes.
Until the clock hits :00.0 and we have a lead… I am assuming we are going to lose.
thats just how this season has gone

Tallon > Bowman
he’s the one who assembled the Blackhawks and got them that cup. So much so hat his name is on i and he got a ring even though he wasn’t there anymore when they won. Now look what he did in Florida. I was laughing at some of those moves he made and look how they’re panning out. He understands something about the character of guys that Regier can’t begin to understand. Also the players love him. Guys all defended him in Chicago when he was demoted.
