So I started a new season in NHL12 today.
In the fist 4 games, I lost Myers to a torn hamstring, Stafford to a broken foot and Roy to a sprained ankle.

Gotcha…and that could possibly be true. I think it is too early to say whether he may or may not be broken, but I would rather see Enroth start with the way Miller has played this season.

We used the Al Fresco chicked sausage recipe from their site, but the GF added a little more tomato sauce and instead of hot sauce, she used wing sauce, also added a little more of that.

I was in the 2nd row corner to the left of Howard (1st and 3rd). 99% of the Red Wings fans were respectful of me and the dozen other blue jerseys around, but there were a few typical d-bags talking shit to me and flipping me off or shoving me in the concourse. And all the way to the parking garage I was reminded by about 50 people how much my team sucks. All I could say was “Yes, I’m not blind. I know they suck.” Fucking spoiled-ass Wings fans wouldn’t understand what it means to be from Buffalo.

He made some good saves, but the Red Wings seemed to pop it back into 2nd gear for the rest of the game and cruise on to victory. I do not blame them; if you can get away with 100% effort for 25 minutes and then you can do 50% for the rest., why bury the team that night? It is a long season….they should save their energy for their playoff run.

Is not the Goaltender that he was in past seasons.
His numbers, and I won’t quote them cuz I’ll upchuck in my mouth, are not the numbers of a starting goaltender who wants to keep his spot.
They are the numbers of a bushleague tender who doesn’t have the supposed talent that the Ryan Miller of old did at one time.
I am absolutely tired of watching this team provide thier opponents with free chances by turning the puck over 10 plus times a game.
This team has no chemistry. No dependable goaltending. No heart to grind it out deep into the game.
As far as I am concerned, I am embarressed by them. I burned my Miller Jersey tonight, and I won’t watch another game until they either trade him, bench him, or ship him to Rochester.
Fuck Ryan “Soft Goal Expert” Miller.

At this point, despite injuries, you have to look at leadership of this team. It is just not happening. Look what a coaching change did for the Rangers.
By the way, saw Craig Rivet playing 2 leagues below the NHL for Elmira in the ECHL. At first I thought it was pathetic, then I admired him for loving a game so much, that he would play his heart out in front of 4,000 fans when he used to be a big star for Montreal. He is not the captain but “directs” everything on his shift—the team is in first place.
And just to add.
No way hes playing in front of 4000, I live near Elmira, and work in that “City” … no one goes to those games, they give out free tickets at local banks and stores.
But yes you are correct, as bad of a player he was and we all ran him out of town, hes a real LEADER

When I went, it was sold out and I got shitty seats. There were 4,000 and it was a good game. Better than the one we are watching now.

I know they pack them in for the playoffs, maybe theyre selling better now, I think theyre in 1st place?
But Ive seen signs at Chemung Canal in Elmira and the Wilson Farms around the corner from the arena

Better this year
I am a Sabres fanatic and drive 3 hours to see some often disappointing games. Closer to home is Cornell, Syracuse and Binghamton. The Senators won the AHL last season and we saw every playoff game. This year – it is the Jackals of Elmira that look serious about winning a cup.
I was at one of the Pirates/ BSens playoff games last year.
Portland won with 12 seconds left. Kassians first Pro game. I wore my Sabres stuff and saw a bunch of Sabres fans too. Probably ran into you, haha

Its crazy we're probably the laughing stock of the East/league.
We do all this spending in the offseason. Bring in the pieces that we need. The owner is a baller, hes going door to door with players handing out tickets. The whole Blue and Gold fanbase was jacked up this October… and now were sitting in 11th-12th, well on our way to another loss, and are 1-6 vs the 3 teams below us.
I think it finally just hit me, were not good.

I am not expecting anything major to be honest….but I do not fault the off-season decisions our FO made. Connolly, Montador, Butler out with Leino, Ehrhoff, and Regehr in should make the team better…..this season is just a damn trainwreck.

Miller needs to go, period.
a. He is overrated by any analysis. He had ONE outstanding year. Other than ONE year his best save percentage was .918. So his second best year in terms of SP would put him ranked at 17 this year. There are handfuls of goalies that are better.
b. Enroth gives us a better chance to win and he has respectable numbers this year
c. Miller’s salary is enough to pay an actual great NHL player
d. He’s a diva, if he isn’t he #1 he’ll throw a pity party

Like it or not, Ryan Miller, once the heart and soul of our beloved Sabres, is no longer interested in bringing a Stanley Cup to Buffalo, New York. It’s time for him to go. It may not be the most logical looking move, but it’s in the team’s better interest. In the same vein, Drew Stafford is no longer interested in driving the net. He can go, too. Derrick Roy, known league-wide for his crybaby ways, should be gone. He does not reflect the product we should be displaying on the ice. Package them and send ‘em off. Thing is, there really isn’t a culture of winning associated with Buffalo, hockey or otherwise. I wouldn’t want to play there unless I was Matt Ellis and I could commute to and from Welland, Ontario and collect a decent paycheck. Who else? Darcy Regier: Gone. If Pegula were smart he’d make it happen tomorrow morning. He’s losing the fan base and all the hype he brought in. Likely losing cash as well … Where’s Kassian? Foligno? Poor Vanek. Gaustad = Gone. Boyes = Gone. This organization is in serious trouble. Anyone got Pegula’s contact info?

Never saw that show (Reno 911). The 2 prisoners that came back so far killed at least 10 people but were recaptured and placed in a modern high security super-secret location prison.
Surprise twist – the (Detective Rebecca Madsen/actress Sarah Jones) hot cop’s grandfather, whom she always thought was an Alcatraz guard, was one of the prisoners, and killed her SFPD partner in the premiere opening scenes.
The good guys are a secret force. Not FBI or CIA but they are Feds.
