And if you look at the next 3 games, you can assume they will all be loses especially with Finely and probably Brennan up now that Regher is hurt. Watching last nights game was painful. We have absolutly no presence in the middle of the ice. We streak down the wing get shut off in the corners and back the other way it goes. Time to sell some bumbs Darcy

Calm down

Listen to yourself. We need to win this year? We can’t wait? Make a trade, any trade?

Wake up! We CAN’T/WON’T win this year, and you will NEED to wait, trade or no trade. Mortgaging the team’s future (trading Myers, etc) in desperation to salvage a terrible season will only cause MORE terrible seasons. How about you award some patience to the man who just shelled out TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars to transform this team into a Cup winner. He asks for 3 years, and fans like you can’t even give him 6 months. It’s shameful, really.

That’s only if you assume that he actually stopped drinking at some point in time during the previous night.

speaking of Slenderella

can anyone tell me why Tyler Myers (the intimidatingly nicknamed ‘Big Easy’ ) who was ON THE ICE the very shift, with Sekera, when Lucic destroyed Miller…got away in the postgame dissection with his cowardice?
We ask Gaustad ,a smaller man at 210-15 at most to step up and our 6-8,230 # blueliner tucks tail and runs…
No excuse for his cowardice. He literally was a cut & run no-show on that play when he needed to step up.
That DOESNT mean trade him, I am simply wondering what excuses might be offered for his lack of resolve at such a crucial, season-defining moment.

If there's one thing you can never accuse Sabres fans of

it’s letting things go.

I don’t know, maybe Chara had something to do with Myers not getting to Lucic.

Sabres have fallen on their sword

I don’t know what goes on behind what we see on the ice, or who to blame specifically, but it is clear the Sabres’ play is so haphazard that for them to score a goal is pure luck … the McKinly Curse is in full effect and warrents some kind of exorcism for this team to finish the season. I think the focus should be on Ruff (a taboo subject in Buffalo, or so I’ve heard ) … the coach is the ‘engine’ that drives a team, and he is obviosly ineffective. Forget the play-offs … unless there is a miracle come-back, which I think unlikely. That being said, I would call for an investigation into the painfully obvious bias in ref calls against Buffalo in almost every game … there is no doubt that Kaleta in particular has been singled out for penalties every time he makes a move on the ice. What’s up with that

Yeah

It at least warrants further discussion with the league. I think Ted Black should make some phone calls. He is a lawyer at least. Money should be what talks and even though Pegula has plenty and the Buffalo market gives the NHL ratings, the Sabres aren’t being treated that way.

At this point

While I hate to root against the Sabres, it might be better for the team if a brutal finish forces the team to be shaken up and get a high draft pick in the offseason.

Using football comparisons,

do you want to be like the Steelers or the Redskins (under Danny Snyder)? One team makes subtle moves and develops from within, the other goes for splashy trades and signings.

40 years is a long time, but Buffalo finally has an owner who has the will and the means to pursue the Cup (no knock on the Knox family, the rules of their limited their ability to exercise the means of today). It is a new day and we need to take the time to let their new vision come to fruition these next few years. Buffalo was a hard sell, but with Pegula, it should be a much easier sell. Part of being an easier sell is stability in the organization and not making trades just to trade.

Go Sabres!
