Andrej Sereka's Arbitration Hearing Set For July 25
If the Sabres and Sekera can't reach a deal by July 25, the defenseman will have his salary decided for him. Other notable arbitration dates include Brandon Dubinsky on the 21st, Ryan Callahan on the 28th, Shea Weber on August 2nd, and Zach Parise on August 3rd.

I’d be interested in some of these players should they become available somehow. It could happen with one or more of them based on recent years.
A lot of people I talk to in Buffalo would be very interested in either of the Rangers, and for good reason. That being said, the Sabres need to dump salary before even thinking about it.

Disagree
I think they need to have a plan, but I would be okay with them being over cap for the summer and then dumping salary. Yes, it probably means suboptimal returns, but it also means much better control the whole process through.
Also, as long we’re on the subject, I’m going to think about the dream where we sign Weber and then have the best defensive pairing in the league for the next 10 years.
I think they have a plan
Win the Stanley Cup in the next 3 years, and then a few more times after that!!
