This summer is shaping up to be a great one for Sabres fans, and to accompany the excitement we've got plenty of great Sabres content being written around the blogosphere including two small novels and some gambling info (remember kids, gambling is bad.) After the break check out some stories and memes from the Vancouver kissing couple.

Garth

Also how come you never include Garth from Hockeybuzz in your articles. I know the site and Eklund in particular are known for garbage rumors but Garth rarely does and he usually has a decent take on the Sabres.

Good question

I’ll take a stab at an answer here, and as always, I could be wrong. I think there’s a significant difference between the forum that hockeybuzz provides versus the one that DBTB does. I’ll admit, as an avid fan of hockey, I check out that site a few times a week. The difference (for me) is that I don’t go into the message boards there. Here, I genuinely look forward to the thoughts and ideas presented by the folks paying a visit to this site. To me, it’s almost like two different cultures, and I prefer this one. And while this site (and by no means am I speaking for Zach or any other SBnation guys), keeping the two separate is a good thing (in my opinion).

Honestly?

I hate their super-loud automatic video player that loads every time you go there – especially since I usually put these together at 7am. Garth’s writing is generally good, but I agree with kry that our two sites serve different purposes.

That and they’re still unofficially blacklisted by SBN.

Though in fairness, SBN has an obnoxious auto-load video player now (that i have complained about in the past because the ad now shows ads that i can’t stop before it loads THE AD.)

On the Mike Weber bandwagon!
Sabres took the scenic route, but they still MADE IT TO THE PLAYOFFS!!!1

You should get AdBlock Plus plug-in for Firefox. It is absolutely life-changing. I can’t believe people still deal with ads on websites when this amazing software was rolled out years ago. Stop whatever you are doing and go download it now, you’ll be glad you did.
