The Sabres control their own destiny if they make into the playoffs or not. Win two games and they are in, win one game and lose one in overtime and they are still in as well. If the Hurricanes lose a game down the stretch, that helps too.
The Sabres are facing off against the Tampa Bay Lightning for the final time this season. The Sabres have lost two of three games against the Lightning, but their last matchup was a turning point of the Sabres season. They came back from a 3-1 deficit to score five goals in the third period and defeat the Lightning 7-4. The Lightning are already in the playoffs and are four points behind the Capitals for the Southeast division lead.
The Sabres injuries are still the same that they were this weekend. Miller skated in practice this morning along with Kaleta and Grier. All three of those players will not play tonight. For the Lightning, they could very well have Vinny Lecavalier back in the lineup after taking stick across the face against the Canadiens on Saturday.
Game time is 7:00 pm and can be found MSG tonight.
