Good going this weekend
We just have to keep it going. We still need 10-11 more wins and a couple OT losses to get in for sure. Let’s get it done.
Any word on TEnnis?

Yeah, what a disaster
Four forwards out at once? Yikes. No way is Kaleta coming back soon but who knows for the rest.
I hope he's not out for long
Looked like arm or shoulder, anyone hear any different?

Hurt his ribs...
But Ruff says he will be OK. It is discussed in the Buffalo News link above.

I know they’re from Minnesota so they’re all supposed to be like this – but could the people over at Hockey Wilderness possibly be any nicer? Or more gracious, sensible, or fair? Canes Country, please take note.

Agreed
I almost thought I was reading a Sabres-skewed recap for a second. They actually tell it how it is, good or bad for their team.
"Starting today, the Buffalo Sabres' reason for existence will be to win a Stanley Cup" - Terry Pegula
Easy now
I think a few bad apples on both the Canes side and Sabres side spoil it for everyone. I find most of the Sabre’s fans cordial. There are exceptions on both sides.
You guys have done an admirable job coming back in the last few months. I’m raising my glass right now hoping that both the Canes and the Sabres make it and the Rangers get left at the alter once again.
Let’s smoke the peace pipe and let by gones be by gones!
Shoot the puck!!!!!!
I appreciate the sentiment, but I for one will not be pulling for the Canes to make the playoffs. No offense, it’s nothing personal, it’s just…oh wait yeah it is.

Okay, that I can drink to.
What?!?!? The Canes basically robbed us from an easy cup! Do you have no memory?!?!? (Sorry if you are a very new fan, also sorry if you have Alzheimer’s.) Plus, come on… don’t you want Drury to make the playoffs? What kind of Sabres fan are you? Now I want to unrec but I can’t because it is still true. Still, drinking with a canes fan… so soon after that series… ouch.
Who wouldn’t want to shotgun beers with a Dale Earnhardt lookalike? No in all seriousness, I’m sure you guys are fun to party with. A joint Buffalo/Carolina fan tailgate party would probably be pretty epic just for the food alone. Lets just hope you guys get an earlier start on your summertime barbecues than we do.

The way that series ended was awful, but robbed? That’s what the Stars did. Someone had to win, and you can’t expect the Canes to back off just because Buffalo’s lineup happened to be decimated (mostly before that series). It was awesome the Sabres got that far in the circumstances and it sucked that injuries precluded them from going all the way. But I can only blame the Canes for that as much as I blame Jay McKee’s dirty socks.
don’t you want Drury to make the playoffs?
No. I’d be happy if he never plays another playoff game in his life. Eff him. He used to be my favorite player and then he pulled that BS. We’ll never know the whole story, but as far as I’m concerned, we didn’t stand a chance once the Rangers got involved. He strung us along till he had his dream team on the hook and in the meantime, he cost us Briere. I don’t care that he grew up in Connecticut as a Rangers fan. He was our Captain and he screwed us. And even without him, I haaaaaaaate the Rangers and I can’t stand Torts. Every year they miss the playoffs is sweet, sweet schadenfreude.

All true here, Drury doesn’t deserve the playoffs IMO either.
eh?
I really like how Enroth has been playing.
While he does make an occasional mistake, he made a HUGE save on Brunette’s breakaway yesterday to keep us in the game at the end of the third. I am very comfortable seeing him fill in two more games down the stretch.

Three more times, no? I believe we have 3 more non-emergency call-ups left. Wasn’t that our first? Maybe you were just making a joke about how little we use a backup… unfortunately, if so, your joke isn’t far from the max we can actually do without making some space on the bench for him.
Would Mancari be the second then? If so, you bring up a good point about making some space on the bench here for Enroth.
I was just thinking how many more times Ruff may rest Miller..
And I know we have more than two back-to-back games left (I think we actually have six more of them), but I don’t see Miller not playing any more than 2 or maybe 3 games until then end of the season. Your point about call-ups is a good one; I did not think about how many more of those we had left before a roster spot must be allocated.

Steve Montador is a +20!!
I knew he had a good plus/minus this year, but wow…I did not realize it got that high.

from that link...
Sekera extended his streak of multiple-point games to five, becoming the second defenseman in Sabres history to do so and the first since John Van Boxmeer in 1981.
On the Mike Weber bandwagon (Stupid penalties and all!)
Rob Niedermayer scored a goal. Your argument is invalid.
He’s like our puck-moving defenseman deadline pickup.
