Playoffs are underway today in Die By The Blade's yahoo fantasy hockey league. With the top regular season record, Kita's Crew earns the President's Trophy largely because of his abundance of goaltenders (Roberto Luongo, Dwayne Roloson, Ondrej Pavelec, Brian Boucher and Jaroslav Halak). Along with Mlllertime, he will enjoy a first-round bye in the playoffs which will give them a chance to scout potential opponents.

Arriving in third place was yours truly, as I narrowly missed the second seed and the glorified bye that is attached to it, by a mere seven points. A big thank you to everyone who was involved, as the league was packed almost immediately and the competition for playoff positioning was fierce. Everyone wasn't able to set their line-ups weekly or take advantage of the waiver wire options, but that's expected in a league of this size.

This will definitely be a yearly event featured on Die By The Blade and best of luck to the five remaining postseason squads in addition to mine. We'll see the rest of the participants next season if they return. The final standings can be seen below.
