WGR is reporting that Andrew Peters is retiring. Obviously he wasnt the best player to lace them up in Buffalo. As the role of strickly "just an enforcer" is dying out... players like Peters are a dying breed. Now you have to be able to skate, score and also stick up for teammates in the "new" NHL. But I just wanted to thank him for his time here. He got a lot of crap from the fans, some deservingly so... but he was a good dude. I remember my dad getting into the locker room after a game during the 06-07 season. Now most NHL players are "good guys," but Peters was the player that took the most time to talk to him and my little brother. He signed a few pucks for us and my little brother jersey.

- A favorite Peters memory was when he did the "golf swing" after a fight vs Toronto.

- His role in the "Line Brawl" / Feb 22nd, 2007.

- And when he scored against Philly in the 9-1 game. He was right in front andput home a rebound... the score was like 6-1 at that point, but you would have thought by his celebration that it was an overtime winner.

Congrats on your career Andrew... Im sure its not exactly how you saw it going, but you were a good guy.
