Enroth
So I gotta say, I see no reason why we would send Jhonas Enroth back down to Portland. I think he should be our backup until the near future and should get around 30 starts next year. At least we should keep Enroth up for the playoffs because we all know if Miller gets hurt there's no way any of us would want Patrick Lalime to start. And with the way Enroth played last night I definitely trust Enroth between the pipes.

For now, I am content with moving him up and down as he is needed. Just because Lalime is sitting on that bench doesn’t mean he’ll see any minutes. Which he’d better not. This is the last year we can freely move Enroth back and forth without putting him through waivers, and I don’t see it as a bad thing to keep him in playing shape.
The kid needs to play. Alot. So, keeping him up here for the rest of the year does nothing for his development. Move him up/down as needed.
As far as next year, as long as the kid plays 25 games, and no fewer, then keep him up.
What the Sabres could do, is to see if there are any teams that would overpay for him at the trade deadline. They should at least listen to offers….
….or maybe they should (GASP!) TRADE MILLER. Think of the return you could get on him. Strike while the iron’s hot, baby!
Actually, I don’t think they should trade Ryan at this point. Not yet anyway.
Enroth or any backup isn’t going to get 25 games if Lindy Ruff is the coach of the team, because Lindy doesn’t do that with backups.
Trading Ryan Miller might not be a terrible idea but this team isn’t built to handle playing defense without knowing their goaltender will bail them out now and then. Miller is also the face of the franchise and therefore will probably never be traded.

Erm… Enroth can’t play the puck behind the net (at all. Note that he never stopped the puck even one time) and freezes every puck that comes to him.
On the Mike Weber bandwagon.
Because he knows that our sucky defense will just give the puck up anyway, so it’s a better play to freeze it. The kid is smarter than we know.

Enroth is still so young....
Miller is getting up there. It sucks he hit his peak at an older age.
But with Miller getting older, I think Enroth is a damn good backup.
Lalime is just a paperweight now….

I definitely think that the Sabres should keep Enroth, but I feel that we should keep him in Portland for now. This is because if the Sabres let Enroth stay in Portland all he will do is play and get better. If the Sabres bring him up he will sit on the bench for three quarters of the year. I feel we should let him warm up for a year or two than see where the Sabres are at.
Enroth should be in the net tonight vs the Sens —give us a chance beating the red wings tomorrow too
please explain. You’re actually saying that a rookie with 7 career starts, a 3-3-1 career record, 2.91 career gaa, gives the Sabres a better chance to win than Vezina Winner Ryan Miller? Miller has allowed 2 goals or less in his last 4 games and has been playing extremely well since the 7 goal performance versus the Islanders.

I see his line of thinking, give Miller the rest with three games in four nights against the lower of the teams. Obviously, it didn’t happen and there would be no way that Miller doesn’t play against the hometown Red Wings.

that may be true, but the way this guy worded it is that Enroth should be playing ahead of Miller against both teams.
