Keep Ruffin it Lindy!
Since June 21, 1997, we have had the blessing of a coach who represents Buffalo perfectly. Tough, hard working, and committed. Just thought it was noteworthy that with Jerry Sloan's resignation from the Utah Jazz today, Lindy is now the longest tenured coach in all of North American Professional Sports. Congrats Lindy and thanks for the great work!

Jerry Sloan and Jeff Fisher had to step aside for Lindy. I’m a bit up in the air as to whether Lindy will/should be around next year. He’s a great coach, I’m just wondering if it’s time for a new voice in the locker room.
Side Note. One of my dogs is named “Lindy”

Sorry to burst your bubble, but...
With the resignation of Jerry Sloan as head coach of the Utah Jazz on February 10, 2011, Popovich is the longest tenured coach in the NBA and the second longest among the Big Four sports leagues behind St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa.
Lets Go Buff a lo!!!
Off the top of my head
I think La Russa’s time is split between St Louis, Oakland, and Chicago so he would not qualify. So Ruff maybe the longest tenured with one team?
Ryan Miller was the true MVP. See my profile for rant.
Could be.
But I remember the talking about this on Around the Horn the day Sloan retired.
Still a hell of a run hes had… you dont see that much in todays sports.
Lets Go Buff a lo!!!
La Russa has been with the Cardinals since 1996. Ruff has been with the Sabres since 1997.
