Of course now that Sekera is out again, we’re going to have to use either Leopold of Ehrhoff (no!) to shut down Alex Ovechkin.

Are the Sabres unlucky? I don’t know, but one thing I would like to see is a statistical analysis of supplementary discipline broken down by both the aggressor team and the victim’s team. I strongly suspect that when the Sabres are the victim team, the aggressor is far less likely to be suspended than the NHL average. I’d really like to have access to the data to see what it actually reveals.
