Need a statistics rule explained...

Stay connected for news and updates

After Miller's unfortunate showing against Philly, Enroth put up another stellar performance, stopping 15 shots while the Sabres outscored Philly 2-0 in the last 53 minutes.

While Enroth's play was great, the Sabres still lost.  However, a look at the stats shows that Enroth is credited with either a loss or a win.  Justice would say that there's no reason that Enroth should be given a loss, but hockey statistics don't usually concern themselves with Justice.  So why is it that Enroth receives no stats for his 51 minutes of net time???  Someone please explain what the rules are here.

Thanks
