evidence
of a concussion is found in the words of Ryan Miller stating, I assume with a straight face, his team ‘has my back’.
Seriously,people.
WHAT on-ice evidence of that exists on film anywhere? He’s been told what to say.
I am not mocking Ryan. If he were a wimp he would have never ventured out in harms’ way and just played it as a breakaway; the safe move. Full marks to him.
IF the Sabres, with this current roster of players, cannot do something to the B’s on 11/23 to make them say that it isnt worth running our players at will…if there is no proportionate response from Darcy’s Angels against what was done to Miller…forget the season. We can beat all the CBJ and Ottawa’s we want, get 100 points, blablabla, the bully waiting at the entrance to the playground is smirking at us for a reason.
We cant handle them. Oh, about those platitudes…
When Miller went down, did we "make them pay for it " on the PP? No.
That doesnt work. Nor does ,“we were 4-1-1 against them last year, etc”. As Marv Levy once said, nothing is more irrelevant in sports than “who had the lead at halftime?”
i.e. the regular season record before the real season begins.
What a man does at the crisis point, under pressure, is when his true character is on display. That is why Darcy’s Angels ran and hid with their guaranteed contracts (Myers, Gaustad, Stafford etc.) for the rest of the game.
The new owners are watching, guys….so are the fans.
Prove you aren’t cowardly lions.
2 part Calder question for the people
How many game’s do you think it might take for Enroth to get considered for the award, would he get proper consideration if he wasn’t billed as a teams #1a starter?
It’s obviously almost impossible for him to keep up his current numbers, but he really has played quite exceptionally and while it’s way too early to speculate, why not do it anyway…
I’d think he’d need at least 60 games to have any realistic shot…They tend to like forwards for the Calder.
Anyway, it’d be the kiss of death. See Raycroft, Andrew; Mason, Steve. With that track record, I don’t want Enroth winning the Calder.
If it were my choice, he’d stay in the lineup. Problem is you just can’t keep Myers on the shelf for more than maybe another game, so who sits? Grags has been rough but has picked it up the last few games and his offensive upside really leaves him hard to take out of the lineup right now. Sekera has been up and down, but again, we know Ruff favors his offense. Weber gives us a quality penalty-killer and good balance in our lineup. I guess the issue is no one on the back end is really playing that great. Leopold has arguably been our best at both ends of the ice, but he isn’t exactly lighting the world on fire either.

Myers & Tropp in; Gragnani and McCormick out
Weber stays for now. McCormick with undisclosed injury suffered in Montreal.
I much prefer seeing how the D handles going backwards (har har).

Thanks
Interesting. Glad to see Tropp again, but not obviously happy that it is because of injury. Grags out, perhaps that means some more PP time for Ehrhoff…he has been quiet and I was shocked to see Grags on the 4-on-3 PP in OT Monday instead of Ehrhoff.
