The latest member of the Buffalo Sabres to collect his first National Hockey League goal, Paul Byron's moment was extra special because it came about in his hometown of Ottawa, Ontario. Tyler Ennis' set up was on the mark, but Byron wisely headed for the net to present the passing option.
As soon as he had a step on Zack Smith, there was no catching up for the Senators' forward. Byron has impressed in his two-game stint with two points, and he delighted a great deal of people on Tuesday.
"I had all my family here and all my friends and guys I played hockey with throughout the years, so I probably had about 40-50 people here tonight," he said.
