Taking his recent form into account, Ryan Miller is regaining the ability to perform saves that leave players baffled. With the Buffalo Sabres trailing 2-1 yesterday, Mark Recchi was alone in front of the net and would have capitalized on a shorthanded chance were it not for a mind-blowing effort by the netminder.
To cue the comeback, Nathan Gerbe, Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville were each rewarded with a goal. For the last 35 minutes, the Boston Bruins could not find a way through Miller, as he expertly held them off.
