Andrew Peters 2.0
Is it just me or could ZACK KASSIAN be a more talented, enforcer lhan Andrew Peters was during his tenure with our very own sabres.
Lets put on our thinking caps
After reading numerous articles and watching the game last night here are some of the trends of Mr. Kassian.
1. Not afraid to fight
2. High goal scorer
3. Has great stick skills
4. Skating needs work
Here are some of the trends Mr. Peters did with his time with the Sabres
1. Didn't score that many goals
2. Powerhouse when it came to fighting
3. Not the best of skaters
4. Gave us that "Dont F#$% with us" mentality
Zack Kassian is a young, skilled player trying to fight for his job on the team. I think not only can Kassian succede, i think he can be a cornerstone in our franchise for years.
Is it just me or could ZACK KASSIAN be a more talented, enforcer lhan Andrew Peters was?

He’s got somewhat of a short fuse but I would agree with the assessment that he is a more talented Adam Mair. He played a lot like Cody McCormick yesterday.

I think Peters would do pretty well on Dancing with the Stars.

He played in Rochester the other night.
One shift. On the ice for maybe 20 seconds. Fought some nobody from Boston. The first ten seconds were him in his boxing stance.

Sounds like vintage Peters.
Save Jenrry Mejia!
In lobby for Josh Byrnes/Chip Hale as Mets 2011 GM/Manager.
They both fight but I think the comparison ends there.
Kassian has offensive talent; he can handle the puck, set up plays, and has a wicked shot. I’m pretty sure he wore the ‘C’ somewhere in the OHL as well. As far as fighting, Ruff seems to think he will be tougher than Lucic.
I think a Mair comparison falls short too. I’m hoping for a Lucic type of player and I think it’s possible.
I'm thinking a Lucic offensive upside
and a Mair defensive, back-checking upside.

Yep yep.
Too bad he can’t go to the AHL.

How insulting
To even say Andrew Peters and Zach Kassian in the same sentence is insulting to young Zach (sorry). He has hands (Peters didn’t), he can skate (Peters could not), he can shoot (Peters, no), he can pass (ha Peters), he can fight (OK Peters could fight)…..
Fear the Grier!!!!
Ummm....
I wouldn’t exactly say Peters could fight either… most of what I remember of his fights were just hugfests. Correct me if I’m wrong.
He who controls the puck controls the buck.
