Adam Mair Accepts Tryout Contract With New Jersey Devils

Stay connected for news and updates

For those of you wondering what happened with former Sabres forward Adam Mair, he accepted a tryout contract with the New Jersey Devils. From Devils beat writer blog Fire and Ice:

Mair plays center and right wing. He could be insurance if one of the team's young centers is not ready to play in the NHL.

He is wearing No.11, which seems to indicate that Dean McAmmond, who remains unsigned as an unrestricted free agent, probably isn't in the team's plans. McAmmond wore 11 last season.

In this case, its good to see Mair try out with another team because he wasn't going to find a spot on this one.
