The article also mentions that Vanek’s injury regressed in practice, so looks like he will not return tonight.

Here’s hoping that Gerbe has more impact than Torres, and Stafford proves he deserves to be in the lineup (personally I’d have benched Stafford over Torres).

Also, these were the lines in practice:

Connolly-Gaustad-Grier
Ennis-Roy-Pominville
Stafford-Kennedy-Kaleta
Gerbe-Mair-McCormick

Sounds pretty suspect…. I’d switch Gaustad and Kennedy, and also Gerbe and Kaleta. Hopefully Lindy knows what he’s doing here, and proves us all wrong.

Yeh this is weird. I am a big fan of Gerbs but I though Raffi had been playing well. And I between ennis, kennedy, roy and now Gerbs we’re just too small.

Gerbe is a tough dude though. He definitely plays bigger than his frame, but at some point it doesn’t matter how big you play, physics becomes a factor.

This is an indictment of Ruff. Ruff chooses to bench Torres as opposed to give him a legitimate shot on the top-2 lines. Torres, a big body, hasn’t been given the chance to play on the power play. It’s stupid.

its not so much that you guys are here, its the fact that the 3 or 4 of you here post almost as much as the entire total of Sabres fans. Its fine and welcomed normally, but we’re all bitter after each of the 3 losses to see Boston fans gloating on a Sabres blog. Nothing personal.
