United States vs. Norway [Game Thread]

TV: USA Network

Norway (0-1-0, 0PTS)

This is the official Die by the Blade game thread for the United States first game of the Olympic tournament. There will also be a game thread at SB Nation.com that you can visit.

On the surface it looks like this might be a boring game but this game is more than just United States against Norway. This game is about goal differential in the event the USA can not beat Canada on Sunday. The USA is a plus-2 goal differential and need to increase that if they are going to get a bye through the qualification round.

so i was listening to nhl live today and someone called about the senators asking if they think they will win the division, they said yes, obviously im pretty biased thinking that the sabres will win, but i was thinking maybe losing the division will be motivation to possibly beat the senators if we meet them in the playoffs, thoughts?

That looks better … Canada scored 5 in the third so it’s not like they led 8-0 in the first. We played a good game, except for that hiccup in the 2nd.
