well we need a win
but San Jose is a darned good team. And if I’m not mistaken, Nabokov has been very hot of late, kind of like Miller before this slump
Well this is the game i want right now. Good win tonight. Get a little confidence back, and start strong after the break.
Lets go buffalo.

I still beleive
even with the recent slump, maybe Miller’s words was heard around the locker room, and im hoping he wins so he can end on a high note for the olympics
Whatever Miller said to the media was said long before that in the dressing room and with less manners.
Miller in that interview reminded me of a disappointed father.
You know when your dad was angry at you, it would suck. But when he was “disappointed” with you, you would be scared out of your mind.
i always hated the … Im disappointed speech. That was worse than getting yelled at lol

These olympics are gonna be awesome, cannot wait to see these countries battle it out

Kennedy
So my boos told me that TK was an absolute scoring machine when he was at Michigan State, can Ruff suck the offensive out of someone or what?
slow night tonight.

We used to sing different lyrics to the Celino & Barnes commercials at the automotive shop I used to work at:
“CELINO AND BARNES,
EXTREME-LY GAY ATTORNEYS,
CALL EIGHT-FIVE-FOUR, THEY LOVE BLACK ****”
you aren’t the only one.

I think Sabres fans took the Olympic Break a game earlier than planned.
The team blowing a 13 point division lead and Darcy making ZERO trades has been extremely painful to watch.
I just don’t expect any big moves from Darcy. I expect deadline day trade like the last 2 years, more of a “move to make a move” type of thing than anything serious.
he is sharp every night

Good period
But no goals. Usually hate those kinds of periods but I’ll take it considering the way we’ve been playing.
Throw in Hecht, Kennedy, our prospects for the next 10 years and all of our ticket sales cash as bonus gifts.
That was weird… earlier when I was posting, mine were the only ones showing up… I thought I was the only one on here haha. Someone want to just reply to this to see if its working?
"Hey ey ey ey"
I had problems the other night just getting my words to show up when I was typing.
The screen just kept loading and loading and loading. Like tonight, for some reason it says it’s still trying to load one more item on the page, yet I’m not having issues posting. I dunno, somethings mangled on the server somewhere.
yeah i have to refresh the page to see the new comments… somethings goin on, probably still working out the facebook bugs
"Hey ey ey ey"
yeah. I thought I was the only one in here for the first period until I refreshed and there were 50 new comments haha
"Hey ey ey ey"
its working fine for me…do your have the auto-refresh button checked

Oh no.
The Sharks just called a time out, the owner and GM came onto the ice and offered Gaustad a contract. He’s… actually putting on…. yup, he’s putting on a Sharks jersey right now…. damn!
I think they also must have offered to take Rivet back. That would explain his attempt to score on Miller.
Wait a second, they just called another time-out...
Why is Miller skating to THEIR bench with a smile on his face?
Pond Hockey
Hey guys the labbat pond hockey tournement is on a couple of weeks, i was curious if anyone has gone to one before, i wanna know if i could bring my own beer, or if they check to make sure your paying their over priced prices, thanks guys
I was at the one on 4th lake in Old Forge a few weeks ago...
Beers were only 2.50. Im sure the Buffalo one will prob be priced a little higher. But it was fun. Im thinking of going to watch the one in Buffalo. That would be fun
"Hey ey ey ey"
Miller needs to bitch more often…its working

So Vanek is quietly at 18 goals. Hes still got a good shot at getting 30-35 if he can heat up like hes known to do. I know its not 40+ but ill take 30-35 after such a slow start. Could be a huge last 1/3 of the season for him
"Hey ey ey ey"
yeah, if he has a strong season towards the end, that would only carry into the playoffs, where we would need scoring the most, if we get into the playoffs, can never say its for sure

If he can just stop pressing/squeezing the stick to hard and just play he’ll be fine. He puts so much pressure on himself it seems even the easy opportunities are impossible.
I too would hope if he hits 30 and starts peaking around the (dare I say it) playoffs that’d be great …
For some reason the sharks look really flat

1st Period
sorry for joining late and this was probably already discussed but it seemed that the Sabres played a very sound 1st. They didn’t make the defensive mistakes (turnovers) that they have in the recent past. Rather, SJ was making a lot of those mistakes and we had some great chances. The period ended 0-0 but I believe we had the mo going into the 2nd and after 40mins the score proved that.

DO, Rafal, Andy...
Are you guys going to be game threads for some of the Olympic games on here… at least USA games?
"Hey ey ey ey"
yeah that’s his call – but I’d be down for the US games at least, maybe the semis or championship game at least

Winning this game and getting 2 points just makes me think about how many points we let slip through our fingers the last 12 games.
I can only pray for Washington, San Jose and Chicago to hit a slump like we did. Another Pres’ Trophy banner would’ve looked nice in the rafters. Maybe there’s still a shot at a Division Champions banner, but with Ottawa on fire and adding Cullen to their arsenal…. and with us not making a big trade yet, I dunno. It’s going to be nice to get away from these guys for a month.
Not sure if I’m going to watch the Olympics. It’d be nice to support team USA, but we already know Canada is gonna take gold and everyone north of the border is going to be rubbing that in our faces for months to come. Yuck, no thanks.
Let’s hope Darcy wakes up from that trade coma soon.
