Random Thoughts
- We cannot gain entry to the opponents zone
- We give up entry to our zone way too easily
- We dont drive to the net, we get pushed to the outside
- Ennis is going to be a really good hockey player, I hope he can find a scoring touch
- Patrick Lalime....uh yea
- I see an improved effort...unfortunately same results
- Our D-men are really slow and take horrible angles
Ok I am done ranting...thank you for your time. Hopefully some of you have been seeing the same thing as me...glad I bought NHL Center Ice to watch the Sabres...GO SABRES let's turn this around.

Patrick Lalime….uh yea
Look, he let in a soft one on the game winner, but he also made a bunch of real nice saves and kept the game close. The first two goals were completely defensive errors and if the team were to bury their 60 scoring chances early in the game it wouldn’t have mattered. News flash: Lalime is not as good as Ryan Miller. That’s why Miller is all-world starting goaltender and star of our team, and Lalime is the backup. But get off the man’s back every second. Lalime is not the problem, the rest of the team is. They aren’t burying chances and are making ridiculous defensive mistakes.
I see an improved effort…unfortunately same resultsI did as well. That was nice to see. This team just needs to get a few ugly wins at home to get its confidence back. I agree with what Lindy said the other day, this is a good team, they are just playing awful.
Fear the Grier!!!!
Sorry, but we probably win this game if La"lame" doesn’t let in that SHIT goal.
YES, he’s a great guy (groan), great teammate (groan), Miller likes him (ok, fine. Then make him Miller’s pool boy). He was a great goalie once, and an even better playoff goalie, but his time has come and gone. Watch him on the ice. He is so out of control, it isn’t even funny.
The bottom line is, we showed a great effort FINALLY, only to see it derailed by a shit goal. If Miller is out any length of time and we’re putting our eggs into Patrick Lalime’s basket, we are in trouble.
There’s a reason we traded for Mikael Tellqvist back in 2008-09.
I agree
That if Miller is out for awhile we are in trouble, but say that about most of the teams in the league and it’s true. I’m not denying that that wasn’t a soft-ass goal. The point is just that THE SABRES lost, not Lalime. Nobody in that locker room is blaming Patty for that one, and they shouldn’t. The fingers should be pointed back at themselves because the O and the D blew that game. Lalime let in 1 shitty goal, the defense allowed the other 2. So, you say if it weren’t for Lalime, we would have probably won, I say if it wasn’t for blown assignments, we definitely win. Even if Lalime stops that 1 goal, we are only tied. If the D prevents the first 2, we win 2-1.

They traded for Tellqvist because the Sabres didn’t have a suitable backup for Lalime.
