Eeesh...sorry for the horrendous looking game thread here fellas. It should've looked a whole heck of a lot better had I been a little bit smart. But if you have ever read any of my posts, you know that's not the case. In any event, enjoy the game, and please keep the comments clean.

Random Stat of the day!
Mike Weber’s Statline last year: 80 GP, 5G, 16A, +18, 152 PIMs.
Mike Weber collects a lot of penalty minutes. In fact, last year, his 152 PIMs much higher than the Sabres leader Craig Rivet with 100 (There are a lot more PIMs in the AHL i’ve noticed.) Oddly enough, that wasn’t even good enough to top his team (Cody McCormick had 168 in 14 less games) Also, it wasn’t even a career high.
In a wonderous display of efficiency, he managed to sit in the box for 178 minutes in 2007-2008, in only 59 games!
I’m sorry this is a little more mundane than the other ones. They can’t all be winners. And if you complain, Mike Weber will rough you up.
My protest worked! Mike Weber has been freed!
Everything wrong with the Sabres is Drew Stafford's fault.
that make it better kry?

too bad Connolly needs to be cut because he’s a drunk, womanizer and an egomaniac. lol

could be anything really. He could be hurt, healthy scratch or possibly traded. It will be interesting to find out.

Remember how pissed Lindy was when he was scratched as the captain? He was traded very soon after that happened.

Did they use the drop pass even one time on the PP?

I’ll check this during the intermission.

BTW
Leopold has exactly as many goals and points as Tallinder and Lydman combined and he’s not taking up two roster spots for an extended period of time.
Hahaahahahahahahaha
Anyone who says that needs to be slapped. Hard. And then told to back to watching the Bills. Hank is playing on the worst team in the NHL and playing poorly. The fans hate his signing. Lydman’s team is also in last place and fans would have been pissed that they re-signed him only to see him miss the first 4 games of the season.

I know that Atlanta fans don't understand icing
but someone should really explain it to their players too.
The team has played with a fire we have seen way too seldom so far this season and it’s like they’re playing a simple but very effective game tonight. They’re staying out of the penalty box which is always important and offensively we’re maintaining pressure when in their zone and guys are playing intelligent hockey – chip and chase. The system works, we have seen it time and time again, and tonight the guys are executing it to perfection. Would be great to see Connolly get going tonight. It’s utterly paramount he keeps up playing to the level we all know he’s capable of, in other words playing with speed and aggressiveness and not shy away from shooting on goal.

Hahaha
Atanta announcers said “Crowd’s really getting into it here, chanting Lets Go Thrashers” during that Let’s Go Buffalo chant. Nice try, guys.
They announce the attendance?

Stafford is arguably one of the most stupid NHL-players this league has ever seen

The season is on the line in third period. Show up and we’ll perhaps look back and say this was a part of the Sabres way back on track or we’ll look back at this as just one of many games the Sabres threw away because of stupidity (in form of dumb penalties and bad plays)

Kaleta has lost his luster
there is no way the Sabres should be shorthanded after that play at the end of the period but Kaleta is a marked man.

well this is just annoying..
Philips Area.. stop with the annoying goal horn.
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ….. BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ………………………………………………………………………………..Brr……Brr……………………………………Brr
Is it really necessary to remind the hundreds in attendance how many goals the Thrashers have scored.

Also on Kaleta for being a pest and the refs for making only one call when Buff hit Kaleta as he skated towards him at the end of the second.

HELL YES ROY
I missed the entire third period except those last 30 seconds, but that was still flippin awesome
A stat i was hoping not to have to mention: The sabres are 7-16-1 all time in atlanta, 4-10 since the lockout. In fact, they’ve never won two games in a row in Atlanta, ever. Can we just fold this stupid franchise and move them to canada so we never have to play them again?

Sign Miller is off his game
He prides himself on being aggressive but he was back in his crease and on his knees…left the entire top of the net open for Buff.

might be true but four goals on 22 shots is not Miller-like…even with bad defensive plays in front of him.

He’s average this year. No where near the same level of play and it shows how average the Sabres are as a team when he doesn’t play up to par. I’m predicting some big changes soon to this team because even Regier can’t overlook the crappy play of the team
