Are you serious Kaleta?

Being a Kaleta fan, as long as it helps him get even more under the other teams skin, im all for it. Dave O wrote an article, http://www.diebytheblade.com/2009/11/2/1110663/wake-up-links-kaleta-best-nhl-pest , looking at the NHL’s best pests. He hit on penalities against patty, how many goals came from those penalties, and what not. It also had him as the best pest for the past couple years i think. It was an awesome.

Look at the hit he had on Carter at Anahiem. What came from that, wasn’t there a penalty against the guy that got to Kaleta first? I can’t remember. Anywho, that just goes with his attidude. You get the hussel, the big hits, and the kindof gay limp wrist….I’ll take it every time.

I have no problem with it. I bet one of these times tho hes going to get hit after he scores during his celebration… that could turn ugly. But if hes scoring goals and having fun I say let him have his 2-3 seconds of celebration… then go back out there and do it again.

Yeah, I’m with everyone else, I really don’t mind the celebration and in fact I kind of enjoy it. When he began using the celebration at the beginning of the season I don’t think he was expecting to score very many goals but since that is not the case I think the celebration just kind of stuck. Hands down Kaleta is the man, let him do his thing when he puts one in the back of the net. Maybe he should hide a sharpie in his skate and next time he scores a goal, autograph his stick and throw it into the stands, that would be the tits.

If he is going to be a guy who scores more than 10 goals a year, then I think he needs to stop it cos it will quickly become overkill. If goals remain a rarity for him though, then I think he should stick with it.

I kind of don’t like it – always preferred the Barry Sanders way of celebrating, but I won’t make a big deal out of it. Mike Foligno was one of my favorite guys of all time, and his jump was just ridiculous. So, if I could live with Foligno, I’ll do the same with Kaleta…

The guy’s just having a little fun. For someone that doesn’t score that much, let him have his little celebrations. After all…it’s not like he’s going all TO or Ochocinco on us.

If he’s on another team I’m probably yelling at my TV for someone to take care of business next time he’s on the ice, but when he does it for us, I laugh and think that somewhere, someone is yelling at their TV wanting to kill Kaleta. Same as w/ Barnaby. Most of the time he was here, fans loved him, but after a while it became about him and not his teamates anymore. Same with Avery for a while there. Once the pests home fans and teamates turn on him, he’s done. Until then, he hits, protects his teamates and gets powerplays (and has shown more scoring touch than I have expected).

I hope opposing teams think the same way you do about the celebration. Just another level to his effectiveness as top pest. The only thing Kaleta needs to stop doing is taking dives and probably drop the gloves a few more times. He needs to back up his actions with a good fight once in a while. Other than that, keep up the good work. I don’t care if he scores 20 or 30 goals, do the celebration every time. I love it

Agreed. I would like to see Patty throw down sometime this year. But its gotta be the right time… Hey we got a home game vs Ottawa coming up next week… Sounds like a perfect time for a fight… and a win against them!!!
