Sabres are looking at Beauchamin apparently, but why the heck would they go for yet another D-man? Unless they have a deal out there for 1+ of the ones they have…

It wouldn’t surprise me all that much and its probably going to be a big name defenseman in Lydman or Tallinder that is going to have to be moved. Good luck on getting full value for those two though

Shouldn’t they be focused on making sure Sekera is a Sabre for the next “X” amount of years before they bring another defensemen in? This kid is a player. I think he starts to break through either this season or the next.

They have the right to match an offer and it doesn’t figure to be a big deal if he does get one. I wouldn’t be worried about Sekera. He was a minus 11 last season and really regressed to the point of being a healthy scratch at the end of the season. I still think he could be a good player but nobody is going to try to sign him for crazy money.
