Buffalo Sabres Select Zack Kassian in First Round of NHL Draft

For weeks I have been on the Zack Kassian bandwagon. About a week ago I picked him for the Sabres in the SB Nation Mock Draft and tonight the Sabres made that pick become a reality. Kassian is a big kid that is listed at 6'3" and 210 pounds and after standing next to him he is every bit that frame. Kassian may or may not become a good NHL player but at the very least he signals a change in philosophy within the organization.

I'll have another post up on Kassian tonight but chew on this pick for now. I'm telling you now that he is the right pick.

what do you know,they may have gotten it right!! somebody who plays with hood in his man!! 1st round picks don’t always seem to pan out for the sabres,but, we got some hope here. you gotta love this guy. he plays tough,he can score and most of all he can actually fight(you listening peters and the rest of you(so called) tough guys)? kid has an upside that is very promising.don’t care about the rest of the draft. Zack Kassian is and was the only pick that mattered at the sabres spot.way to go Darcy.
