The NHL Awards are over and the draft is next.  It is just one week away which means that the trade talk should start heating up at this point.  Up until this point there have been no Sabres mentioned in the trade discussion, we'll see if that changes.

The NHL Awards show went as expected. Alex Ovechkin won everything and hockey players are much more comfortable on the ice than they are in suits and talking in front of crowds. I was surprised that Zdeno Chara won the Norris over Mike Green.

This would certainly be news worthy if it were to happen. For the record...I think the outdoor games are a great idea. With that being said I am confused by Gary Bettman. He stated on numerous occasions that he didn't want to over do it because the novelty would wear off. Is two games in the same year a bit over the top?
