You better since it looks 50/50 that the Sabres new rivalry next year will be with the Hamilton Blackberries.
The population of Pominville keeps rising!
It definitely looks that way although I think it will happen to fast to do any realignment. The league will be stuck with a team in Hamilton playing in the Western Conference for a year.

Probably right, should be a fascinating bankruptcy proceeding. In my former corporate attorney life I attended a few hearings and I can only imagine the animosity between NHL, Inc. and Balsillie in court- should be fun. Also, if a team does move to Hamilton, does that automatically make them Team Hate for Sabres fans or is it still Leaves/Sens and to a lesser extent Canes?

Yeah, I figured that a few articles wouldn’t do it justice. I will have full thoughts this afternoon.

Don't get too excited
about Balsillie getting this team. Although I think they would be better off moving, this deal is not gonna happen in my opinion. He will definitely move the team if the sale goes thru and Bettman is not willing to admit that moving a team to Phoenix was a mistake. He’s against moving teams that they put in place and has already denied Balsillie twice on purchasing NHL franchises (Pittsburgh and Nashville) that he most likely intended to move.
That being said, the league is in a tight spot here and they need someone to buy the team fast and this might be there best option. There’s certainly no doubt a team could thrive in southern Ontario
