All-Time Number Debate: 4 Grant Jennings

So many Sabres have come and gone in the organization over the past 39 years.  But who was the best wearing their number.  This is going to settle that debate.  Using the Buffalo Sabres Alumni listing of all-time uniform numbers we will post a player a day based on their number.  After a certain uniform number is up, we put the vote to you.

Jennings played a total of 6 games for the Buffalo Sabres during the 1995-96 season.  During that time he didn't register a point and was a +1.  Jennings played a total of 384 career games in the NHL and had 14 goals and 57 points.  Jennings played for a total of four teams, Hartford, Pittsburgh, Toronto, and Buffalo.

Uwe Krupp?

First of all, I think Uwe Krupp was a much better defenseman than any of the guys listed above. I’m 99% sure that Krupp wore #4. Also, I believe the picture above is actually Doug Bodger (not Jennings) during his days in Pittsburgh. I can’t believe Jennings only played 6 games for the Sabres!

That's the beauty

We are listing every single Buffalo Sabres player that wore a certain number. If Uwe Krupp is your choice than you can vote for him when the time comes.

I was surprised to find out that Jennings only played six games as well.

I can’t confirm that the picture is indeed Jennings but it is not Doug Bodger.

Sorry...

I’m not complaining… just trying to contribute and whatnot.

I'm sorry

I wasn’t trying to make it sound like you were complaining…I am a huge fan of Uwe Krupp as well. That’s what is so fun about this feature. It reminds us of the old guys who used to play for the Sabres.

I would hope that this is Jennings because its what came up when i did the search. In saying that, I’ve been lead astray before.
