Ottawa Sends Vermette to Blue Jackets for Leclaire
Analysis from Silver Seven.
The Senators get Leclaire and a second round pick for Vermette. This is an interesting trade from the Senators standpoint because they get a goaltender that has shown that he can play. Leclaire is injured now, so he is not going to be a factor for this season but he will play well for them down the stretch.
Vermette will play well for the Blue Jackets but is not the winger for Rick Nash. Assume more trades for a team that desperately needs to make the playoffs.

Ottawa also received a second-round pick
Which, hey, just makes it that much better.
I’ve got a synopsis on Silver Seven.
