florida
must have left its goalie in the locker room for the third period wednesday ha ha
I recorded that
unbelievable! Let’s just remember that Florida – and even Tornoto – ain’t nothing like playing Montreal on the road on HNIC. I’m thinking we’ve done that 2-3 times already?
Hi all
Been absent for a week but sometimes reality intrudes.
Here’s hoping that certain ones are not in the cards this weekend!
been there all season

Miller looks strong...
Trying to watch him on plays off the net – too son to say.

If you could somehow get editing on posted comments I’m sure my gamepost counts would drop big time!
This make two comments already that I wouldn’t make. :-)
hahaha
at least you correct them…most of us just leave it.

Wow.
Screw watching Miller when the play isn’t near him. He looks good. Period.
Hecht almost gave one back there.
Miller holds for the faceoff.

Wow, despite an 11-4 SOG disadvantage
this was (so far) a very very good period.
Kind of makes those 40+ SOG games we’ve lost eeeplainable. cluding 2 of the last 3 games.
Not a good period
but great results. All I care about is a win at this point.

Can I take a quick poll?
Who here follows bfloblog.com? Kevin had a great post yesterday….
http://bfloblog.wnymedia.net/?p=3728
And DO, I respectfully disagree. Not a good period by what standard? They controlled a lot. Toronto had very few quality shots. I like that this team is finally playing like they don’t care – but actually do – about the consequences of how they skate.
Seriouslly though – I found this blog last season through bfloblog.com. Anyone read the post I’m linking to?
Joan, one more question
do you read The Buffalo News? Bucky Gleason? (Okay, that’s two questions.)
I did
Kevin is great…I’ve met him a couple of times. I have to say that was a great post.

no not really ihave read his articles a couple of times but the newpaper agravates me so i dont bother
Joan
I agree. He wrote something the other day about… well, another normal thing for him to do. Kevin wrote a post about it completely putting the dude in his place. Did it right.
He basically said Bucky writes in ways that puts his readers down. Period. Becaus otherwise the person he writes for is 8 years old and someone the guy wants to shatter their childhood dreams.
Classic.
I commented on that post.

Heather at Top Shelf started things
it’s all about perspective. She’s learning.
Sabres, Indians, Bills (no longer – thanks TO), Nittany Lions, Cavs…. you name it. One day. One day!
Who cares about the ultimate winner? Until then, it you can’t have fun, walk away.
O.M.G.
That puck wasn’t flat – or else it’d be 3-0.
Score
now it is 3-0!

Gaustad
Gaustad is too good of a player to pull that garbage. Did you see him grab his leg for the takedown and then throw punches while he was on the ground?

i thought he was in the top 3 goalies
could have been a goalie to make a difference on winning a Cup. almost did too.
Second Period
The goal total is the same but this period has already been better than the last period.

Wow! Miller gets roughed up
and the guys got into a scrum!
Rivet
I don’t think he’s been as good as he could be this year, but he’s leading right now in terms of defending Miller. I like the way we’re hitting people
Rivet
he has always been a 3-4 defenseman and he plays tough. People were expecting him to make everything better on the blue line but he just isn’t good enough for that.

I suppose I was so ready to believe that we had found a true #1 dman. I was willing to believe anything. I guess Rivet wasn’t our “savior” either.
I think we all were
Along with everyone else…I bought in but reality is different. Looking back at his career he is what he is.

WIth where this team is....
Rivet could well be the “Drury” in 2 seasons. CBA permitting.
He’s not a savior. But he’s important. Another big piece.
I agree

I really don't want to say they are a different team with Miller.
I would rather say it was something in the third period Wednesday that woke this team up. Either way… I missed this team.
4-0
not much pressure…I’d say he’s relaxed.

Interesting stat
We are winning 4-0 but have not had a power play
D.O.
www.diebytheblade.com - An SB nation destination for Sabres fans everywhere
Love the intensity.
MacArthur playing like it’s still down 3-2 like Wednesday. Defense playing like they want Miller to stop less than 20 shots.
yeah
it’s a power play

speaking fo me?
always wary of late posters i never saw before. kinda like spammers.
but in sports we call them cherry pickers, or front runners.
March 14... about 7:50 pm EDT
That’s when I quit being a Bills fan. Frak TO. Freaking frak him. Doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the video though, right?
Oh. Wow. What was that?
Seriously – I had to stop being a Bills fan. Can name you the exact date and time – I hate TO. Still do. But that? SPLS… hell of a link! I have to reconsider. Tomorrow I’ll watch it sober….
That's good
4-1 lead and the power play to start the third.

that is just bad luck right there.

Damn.
And with Maxie skating hard on the backcheck too.
i sure am not defending his season
just that moment this season
More bad luck.
Penalty on Connolly. Probably deserved. Still… dammit.
this is ridiculous
i want the team hat was controling the pace and the game back
Joan
who do you blame?
certainly not Miller. can’t really say it was Connolly.
A test for the Sabres? Definitely.
I would agree with that logic. I thought Buffalo was better in the second period but overall it’s been Toronto.

i can't agree.
the style of game is good – and took them to the lead. thinking back on the losses the last few weeks? they just didn’t play like this. the third period. and they are playing it.
just went up 5-3 as i’m posting this. strange goal or not – they played.
This is not good
WE need to start playing like the second period.
