Around SBN: Chan Sung Jung Wins Thriller Over Dustin Poirier

Daily Links for Tuesday, Dec. 8

If you watched last night's game, you watched what will hopefully be the worst game the Buffalo Sabres play all season. Since last night's game was more excruciating than a triple vasectomy, today I'll post a recap, then two non-game-related articles. Do your best to immediately erase last night's game from your memory, and make sure to check after the break for another retirement as well as our daily hockey gift.

Martin Brodeur Earns 103rd Career Shutout as New Jersey Devils Beat Buffalo Sabres, 3-0 | In Lou We Trust
In Lou We Trust has a recap of last night's game. Congratulations to Martin Brodeur on his record-tying and mind-boggling 103rd shutout.

SabresProspects.com
There's no real news in this link, but I just couldn't stand searching for articles anymore about the team that pooped in the refrigerator last night (and did not eat an entire wheel of cheese, so I'm not proud of them.) Luke Adam has 21 goals this year in the QMJHL, and that is a good thing. If you don't check this site every week or so, you should start doing so as Kris Baker does an awesome job collecting news on future Sabres.

Wheee! | Queen City Sabres
Our last post not dealing with last night's game is a reminder of how awesome the 6-2 win over Montreal was. Anne's Sabres blog is always a fun read, and she provides some excellent photo caption work here.

Longtime Detroit winger Darren McCarty retires | The Hockey News

Although his team won't be officially announced until New Year's Day at the Winter Classic, Brian Burke hopes to have his U.S. Olympic men's hockey team picked as soon as next week.

Hockey Gifts: Buffalo Sabres Apron
If you have a grillmaster in your family, they probably have a novelty apron or two. But do they have a Sabres apron? BOOM.

I’m being lazy here by not researching this, but does anyone have any news regarding Goose?

THey have been very quiet about his injury

I’m guessing he is going to be out for awhile.
