Daily Links for Tuesday, Dec. 22

The Sabres are to the Maple Leafs what the Senators are to the Sabres. Our foils, our nemesis, our white whale. Good to see that we can at least beat up one team reliably. Some links on Brodeur's record-setting night are after the break, and don't forget to check our hockey gift today - it's a local one as opposed to online, so you can go and buy it right now.

Brodeur sets shutout record in Devils win over Penguins | TSN
With 104 career shutouts, Martin Brodeur stands above every other goaltender who has ever played. The New Jersey Devils goalie moved past Terry Sawchuk into first place on the NHL's all-time shutouts list Monday, stopping 35 shots during a 4-0 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Video highlights posted below.

Comparing the new and former shutout kings | The Hockey News
Ken Campbell pens an interesting piece comparing the times in which Brodeur and Sawchuk played in to ask - who was better?

Hockey Gift: Yukon Hat
One of the most manliest hats ever put on a head is the Yukon Hat. Made of fur, and complete with don't-mess-with-me earflaps, this hat keeps you warm and makes you look like a man who could chop down a tree with his teeth. And as a bonus, this is available at Laux Sporting Goods right here in WNY, so you can get it on your last-minute gift runs.

I know it’s nit-picky but THN has us listed at #7 not #6. Though I prefer your version.

I had to redeem myself for misreading the Corsi numbers DO started posting in the post-games.
I misread it at first too.
