Not a very good start
but it is exactly what I expected. If they can weather the storm, the Sabres will win this game.

Did that really just happen?
that should have been icing and after they blew that call, they missed a high stick against the Sabres. I’m not complaining, just saying.

Yes, yes it did.

Miller is a beast
Is it wrong to say that he is playing as well as Hasek played in his prime?

If he sustains this
for a whole season, that will probably be fair to say.

Miller
has to be getting into opponents heads at this point.

This doesn’t look like the team that won four in a row. Why do they not show up to play against Ottawa?

Miller just made two or three unbelievable saves

There it is
it was only a matter of time before they scored at the pace this game was going. The Sabres need to pick it up quickly before it gets out of control.

Now that we've proved Miller's mortal
can we start playing now?

Gods, what a miserable period
If we had an ordinary NHL goaltender instead of Miller it would be at least 4-0.

Why does this seem
to always happen against Ottawa? What is this stupid intimidation over our team? I guess I’m glad I’m not watching and only listening (out of towner).
"Slide DiMaggio, slide!" "Hey, my name isn't DiMaggio, my name is mm..mmmm...mmm....mud."
I wish I knew the answers
they really lloked bad that period.

I don’t know. I think the Sabres just need to get over the mental hurdle and realize that they are actually the better team…then they need to play like it.
You're right
It is so frustrating when they play this team. The Sabres are clearly the better team and yet they are being dominated after one period.

Look at that,
Ruututu being scum. That’s a surprise.
Cheap shot
hopefully it lights a fire under this team.

Power play to start the 2nd
Maybe that will finally get us going!

or....maybe not
"Slide DiMaggio, slide!" "Hey, my name isn't DiMaggio, my name is mm..mmmm...mmm....mud."
That is a cheap shot
he should be gone from the game. This is the type of hit they are trying to eliminate from the game.

he was on the ice for quite awhile.

question.
What happens if you score on a 5 minute major like this one? Does the PP end and the offender remains in the box like he would for a fight? Or does it continue for the duration regardless of goals scored?
Come on
You can start playing at anytime now.

Also, why are the Ottawa fans booing us whenever we touch the puck? That was a pretty obvious cheap shot from Rutuu…
Nice save by Elliot
best chance we’ve had all night.

Nice couple shifts
first the Vanek-Roy line and now Pominville-Connolly. The skating is better and that hit by Montador was huge.

That was a nice
pass by Grier and a better save by Elliot. Should have shot and not passed the previous chance.

They have to bury that
Kennedy either has to shoot or he needs to be 100% sure of the pass.

that was intentional. He left his feet.

Seriously?
I think everyone on the ice showed they cared that period. That was just stupid. Now the Sabres will start the third on the penalty kill while trailing by one.

YES! Right you are sir!
"Slide DiMaggio, slide!" "Hey, my name isn't DiMaggio, my name is mm..mmmm...mmm....mud."
Good job by Roy
to draw a penalty. Too bad our PP is a giant ball of fail.

Can we just choose
to keep it at 5-on-5 when the other team takes a penalty?

Over the course of 82 games
there are going to be games where they play this bad, especially on the road. The key is not making it a trend.

but why does it always have to be Ottawa?
