Horrible idea

Got some work to do before being a playoff team let alone a contender again!

That is the disclaimer written at the bottom of the post. This is what separates Die by the Blade from other Sabres blogs. It is truly a community and everyone has an opportunity to share their views on the Sabres. We don’t always agree but everyone gets a voice.

i know its not. its funny how people think 40 and over vets could revamp a team.

If the Sabres weren’t a team that needed to roll four lines and had a big need for power play help, then I’d strongly consider Shanahan. But I don’t see what he adds to the team right now.

I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then my life was so great that I literally wanted a second one. In my Second Life I was also a paper salesman and I was also named Dwight. Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly. - Dwight Schrute

I agree

with the Kais’ assessment. I don’t see room for a Shanahan at this point unless you are talking about bringing in the former Broncos coach to help the Bills…

Why

I just don’t understand why we would bring in a crusty old veteran like Shanahan to this team. He brings absolutely nothing to the table for us. He is not better than any of our top 6 forwards at this point in his career. He wouldn’t improve our PP. He literally is not even good enough to make New Jersey’s roster. Why would he be good enough to make ours? Perhaps you meant to bring Shanahan in as a coach? I’m not even sure that would be a good idea

HAHA! yeah, totally wrong blog.

Growth will come from inside and having Timmay play more than 60 games. I am quite excited for the Vanek-Connolly connection to fire up.

HAHA

Yea good to see you over here NO. Indeed MIKE Shanahan may be a nice fit in Orchard Park.
I too am excited to see TV and Connolly light the lamp this season many times

I am too as long as you aren’t talking abotu Connoly turning on the reading light above his hospital bed. If not, then I totally agree….he has seemed to look shot slightly more in these first two games. He has a good shot, he needs to use it.
