No I am not implying that Nathan Paetsch should be considered a Sabres prospect.  That ship sailed a long time ago.  I am saying that he is a nice insurance policy as am eighth defenseman. I am cautiously optimistic about the game tonight.  There is something about New Jersey that I don't like but the Sabres have been playing well.

Ryan thinks the decision was between Paille and MacArthur. I can't disagree since I made that comparison often over the summer. I still think that if Paille were given the same opportunities as MacArthur, he would have put up equally as good numbers.

Paille is not scoring goals yet but he is putting up points for the Bruins.  We will be revisiting his productio throughout the season.

Paetsch helps Sabres dig deep on defense : Sports : The Buffalo News
Paetsch seems to have the right attitude regarding his role with the team. As an eighth defenseman he is pretty good, that is depth that most teams don't have.

Sabres approach decision time on Myers - sportsnet.ca
"Myers has been living out of a Buffalo hotel room since he arrived in town for the start of training camp in early September." Wait, no one has offered a room to Myers yet. Rivet needs to get on that.

Hockey's Future Organizational Rankings, Fall 2009 1-10 - Hockey's Future
The Hockey's Future Organizational Rankings are an assessment of the overall state of each NHL teams system of prospects. An overall rank for the Sabres is number nine.

Tweaks go a long way for Sabres : Sports : The Buffalo News
I still can't get over Bucky Gleason writing positive articles about the Sabres. I think he is actually complimenting Darcy Regier although he will never come right out and say it.
