I'm not anywhere close to saying the Sabres are the best team in the NHL but TSN.ca seems to think so.  It's nice to see the Sabres get so much attention in the early part of te season but the pessimist in me thinks otherwise.  I'll keep enjoying it while the Sabres play well and I'll let time dictate where they will end up.

NHL Power Rank 1
Seriously? I know the Sabres have been playing really good hockey but are they best the league has to offer? I think not.

WGR 550 SportsRadio - Home of the Buffalo Sabres - Ruff said still no decision on Myers
I seriously hope he is joking. If Myers goes back to juniors there will be a riot in Buffalo. If they thought it was bad when Drury and Briere left, send Myers down and see how bad it can really be.

Sabres Edge: Lindy on Myers: laughable
I already linked to similar story but anytime Bucky Gleason makes me laugh, it is news worthy.

Corey Tropp named CCHA PotW - Buffalo Sabres - News
Junior alternate captain Corey Tropp (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) was named the CCHA Offensive Player of the Week.

Early attendance trends in the NHL - From The Rink
The Sabres might need to adjust ticket prices again to get the arena filled every night. If they keep winning, I think we will see sellouts in the second half of the season.

That's One Solution: Phoenix Coyotes Being Sold To NHL - SB Nation
The Coyotes are finally being sold. The bigger question is regarding Balsille. Who will be the next team he tries to steal?

Ilya Kovalchuk has a broken foot, out 3-5 weeks - Bird Watchers Anonymous
This couldn't have happened last week before he burned the Sabres? This is bad news for the Thrashers. They can not afford to lose Kovalchuk for this amount of time.
