Keeping the Intros going!
Die hard Sabres fan living in Las Vegas. My sons room is done in Sabres colors with all the trimmings. I get to the games when they are in Phoenix, LA or Anaheim. Last year for my birthday, Toni Lydman flipped me a puck in Phoenix during warm ups, which now sits with the rest of my sports memoribilia. Then the Sabres pounded the coyotes, unfortuantely it was not the same 2 nights later when they lost to the ducks, but my son was up against the glass and Stafford smashed into the glass during warmups which made him pretty excited. Even got a smile out of Stafford.
Lived in Williamsville for 6 years where I went to high school, and some college (ECC and Buf State). Bartended at Crawdaddys for about a year, then Sinbads by the airport.
Favorite players are Hasek, Razor and LaFontaine in no particular order. Love the Yanks, Raiders and Knicks. Lets hope the Yanks put this away on Saturday!
Going to all 3 games out west this year. The games are in January. Good time for all you east coasters to take a vacation from the cold out to the warmth of the southwest
Hope the Sabres have a great year and looking forward to reading what everyone has to say.

Hey everyone
Bills, Sabres, and Syracuse Orange fan here, grew up near Lockport, NY (home of the famous Reid’s hot dogs), now I’m yet another member of the WNY diaspora, currently living in Minneapolis. I still have lots of family in the Buffalo area so I do get back there quite a bit. I found this blog after discovering Buffalo Rumblings, which led me to look for the Sabres equivalent on SB Nation. Growing up in the 80s, the earliest Sabres-related things I remember were the Lafontaine years – so sad when he had to hang it up. I loved the 98-99 team that Hasek almost carried to a cup (the only Sabres jersey I own is a black and red Hasek), but I think my favorite team so far has to be the 06-07 team that won the President’s trophy. That team was so much fun to watch, and had such a flair for the dramatic. Alas, they came up a little short. Naturally, I’ve been a little down on the team the past couple years, but I like what I see from them so far this year (knock on wood). This Myers kid looks like he’s for real, and Miller has shown the ability to carry the team on his shoulders and steal wins, which you need in the postseason. We’ll see what happens, but I like the direction the team is going in right now. I hope they keep it up so they can balance out my Bills-depression. My current favorite player would have to be Kaleta (while acknowledging that Miller and Vanek are the most important to the team), although Myers is quickly making his way up the list. Keep up the good work DO! Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Hey there Sabre Puckheads!
Diehard who has never even been to B-Lo! Parents and all extended family from NT and TofT now most of them spread all over Western NY.
Living back where I was born and raised Las Vegas NV (Danger we have Sabres parties on Sat nights) for a few months while I wait for Marine Corps OCS in January.

My name is Steve
I’m 23 and I grew up in a small town in WNY on Chautauqua Lake. I’ve been lurking around this website for about a year now but haven’t contributed much. I go to law school in Orlando, and it really sucks not having any hockey fans to converse with. This board and hockeybuzz.com keep my hockey appetite satisfied. To the individuals that run this board keep up the good work!
I watch most games streaming online so I’ve actually kept up with most everything this season despite being out of market. If I can’t find them I gladly listen to Ricky J and Harry broadcast on WGR 550. I went to the Lightning game in Tampa and hope to make it to more over Christmas break.
I’ve been a Sabres fan since I was 6 or 7 and had the good fortune of being friends with a season ticket holder. His dad took me to many games growing up from the Hasek years onward. (No Goal parts I and II, Game 6 ECF v. Carolina, etc..) My only regret is not ever making it to the Aud, but I was too young to do anything about it.
I really like this year’s team and hope they continue playing well. Tyler Myers looks like he has the potential to be something great, and I am confident Miller will let the rest of the league know how good he really is. I went to undergrad near Pittsburgh so I would love a chance to face the Pens in the playoffs (I know its a long way off) and beat them.
That was an unintended long post but I look forward to talking Sabres with you guys and look forward to a great season.
