Another look at the importance of Tim Connolly to the Sabres roster. I said it when he came back in the lineup...this gives the Sabres two scoring lines instead of one. It's nice to see guys other than Roy and Vanek get on the board and that has been happening lately.

Plus his special teams play has always been good. Now if he can stay healthy for more than a month that would be something to talk about.

rest is obviously important – Connelly gets it :)

Playoffs? Playoffs you want to talk playoffs?? playoffs??
-sorry thats the football fan in me.

we gots a long way to go before we talk playoffs. we need to get there first. If we clinch a spot i think you will see him and Roy/Miller get more rest. much more work to be done before we can start sitting guys though.

Connolly

He is obviously important but I don’t subscribe to the theory that you let anyone rest when they are so important to the team. Everyone would love to see the Sabres make the playoffs and have Tim Connolly playing as well but you have to just see how the whole thing plays out.

I don’t Connolly needs rest really, I think he needs a bout of good luck. I think he shows that he is in good shape but he just needs to not have brittle bone disease.
