Pominville re-signs with Sabres
It is truly a great day in Buffalo, NY...the sun is shining, it's warm, the Bills are 2-0 and best of all the Sabres signed Jason Pominville to a multi-year extension. It was a five year extension signed by Pominville, locking him up until the end of the 2013-2014 season. This changes a lot of things for the Sabres as they head into the season, including a post that I was working on. I'll have my thoughts on this signing later in the evening but for now, enjoy the good news.

HUGE news. Great news. Gotta love the fact that the core of this team, that’s been together for so long, will now be together for another long while. Excellent day indeed, D.O.

Explain
Explain to me how they could possibly have locked up Drury and Briere while keeping the team they have now intact. It is financially impossible for them to have locked up those two guys, even with Bucky Gleason’s made up numbers.
