If nothing else, there should be some added excitement for tonights game with the addition of Nathan Gerbe to the roster. As mentioned here earlier and all over the internet today, the Sabres called up rookie Forward Nathan Gerbe and sent Mark Mancari back to Portland.
Buffalo is just 2-8-0 in their last 10 games but Tampa Bay is 1-5-4 in their last 10. Something has to give for these two teams tonight, I believe that one team has to win.
Despite the mini-fued betwen Lindy Ruff and Ryan Miller it looks like Miller is going to get the start tonight. Miller allowed only two goals in the 2-1 loss to Florida on Thursday but he was criticized by Lindy Ruff for the first goal. Miller was not happy with the criticism and it will be interesting to see how he responds.
Based on what we have read in the media since the last loss...I would expect to see a good effort from the Sabres tonight. The problem with the game tonight is best written by Kevin from Bflo Blog...he's right it's a no win situation but it is worth two points.
