Sabres Injury list keeps growing

It looks like the Sabres may need some reinforcements from Portland for the upcoming road trip.  The injury list keeps growing by the day and with some key players on the list as well.


Injuries: Buffalo Sabres

It looks like Derek Roy and Andrew Peters will both be able to play, although I won't be surprised if Petey is in the press box while Max gets a chance to be back on the ice.  The Forward situation looks fine despite both Tim Connolly and Patrick Kaleta being listed as out.

The defensive situation is not as rosy.  Toni Lydman and Craig Rivet are both highly questionable and you have to expect that someone will be called up.  The likely candidate is Mike Weber but he too is suffering from an injury currently.  That leaves the Sabres with a decision to make...does Chris Butler make his NHL debut or does Mike Funk get the call.  Funk has played some games is Buffalo over the past three seasons and has been average to below average.

No different in Sunrise

I feel it, bro. Down here in FLA, we’re missing David Booth, Nathan Horton, Cory Stillman, and Richard Zednik (remember him?). That’s only our top four offensive threats.

Everyone else appears to be picking up the slack, however. Keep an eye on F Kenndal McArdle, playing in his second NHL game.

I would like to say…watch out for this guy when talking about the Sabres but let’s face it…they haven’t been very good lately.
